History

„The Imperial Apartment“ is located in the heart of the Cieszyn City in close range to the city hall. The famous hotel “Pod Brunatnym Jeleniem“ (Under The Brown Deer) was standing here before an international and local VIPs as well as Crowned heads like the Russian Emperors Paul I and Alexander I have been hosted here. The most famous guest however was Joseph II, who resided here on two occasions, once in 1770 and again in 1779.





This famous hotel was reconstructed in the Viennese neo-baroque style in 1912. The building consisted of 4 floors and 67 hotel rooms. The luxurious Art Nouveau Style restaurant can be found on the ground floor of the Hotel, serving Viennese and local specialties.

The historical name „The Imperial Apartment“ has been kept, and the golden details inspired by Gustav Klimt underline the luxurious atmosphere of this place.
